We are Kat & EJ and we’ve spent nearly two decades building global brands from five different countries.

Our Creative Chairman once described us as “tenacious” for our ability to find creative possibilities in impossible briefs. This tenacity is matched only by our capacity to care, not just for the work and its nuances, but also for people and different points of view. These values have helped us navigate our way in different cities we’ve worked in like Manila, Milan, Parma, Bangkok, London, and Amsterdam.

They’ve also guided us in making the work we are proud of, which hopefully, will make our son proud too.

Most recently, as ECDs in 180 Global, we made water drink Gatorade, staged the first interactive concert on Spotify with Stormzy, and got Messi to tell the world how to rise to a challenge (which he managed to put in practice, to be fair). At the same time, we turned dance moves into music on TikTok, made soda can designs that reflect your personality with the help of AI, and gave an icon a refresh all over the world.

Previously, in London, we were Global Creative Directors, where we exposed how early gender bias starts, convinced parents that dirt is good for their kids (even through a global pandemic), and celebrated “granny pants” with an actual rapping granny. Apart from giving underwear a tone of voice and producing gender equality campaigns, we also made paint ads that don’t feel like watching paint dry, and told the history of a legendary beer through 20-second sips.

We’ve produced posters that became book covers and memes, published a book, and made typography out of cheese.

We have never stopped believing in creativity as a force, and always love working with people who feel the same way.

Our journey spans multiple countries through different life stages. In our past lives we’ve been athletes, fans, stage actors, whiskey and coffee geeks, film documentarists, authors, millennials, boomers, parents, leaders, students, and dreamers. We draw from this bank of experience to give each brand a voice of their own.
